Coronavirus Update: Nigeria records 187 new infections, as confirmed cases rise to 58,647



ON Tuesday September 29, Nigeria recorded 187  new cases of Coronavirus; bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 58,647.

According to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, 509,555 samples were tested so far; while 49,937, Coronavirus patients have been successfully treated and discharged, as active cases now 7,599 and 1,111 deaths.

The 187 new cases are reported from 13 states- Lagos (74), Plateau (25), Rivers (25), Gombe (19), FCT (19), Osun (10), Kaduna (5), Borno (3), Ogun (2), Katsina (2), Nasarawa (1), Bayelsa (1), Edo (1).

Corpses of 6 police officers killed by herdsmen recovered

CORPSES of some of the killed police officers drafted from IRT Abuja, PMF 51 Oghara and Anti-Kidnapping Squad, Asaba in Delta State to rescue three missing officers in Ohoror community, have been recovered by a combined team of security agents and the local vigilantes in Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state.
