Be truthful in your missionary journey — Rev Olatunde tells Ministers of God

He also advised them that without being fruitful in spiritual task bestowed on them, Jesus Christ will not count them worthy in heaven after their sojourn in this world. He gave the advise at the graduation ceremony of Evangel Faith Theological Seminary, in Mafoluku-Oshodi, Lagos State; where some students were graduated with MSc, Bsc, Advanced Diploma, Diploma and Certificate in Theology. Afenifere marks 70th anniversary with prayer

Pa Ayo Adebanjo, Leader, Afenifere IN commemoration of the 70th anniversary of Afenifere,  the  pan-Yoruba Socio-Political Organisation has enjoined its members to pray for peace and a restructured nation, and for the health of mind and body of the people. Afenifere also urged its Muslim members to observe worship in mosques on Friday April 30, while the Christian members are enjoined to attend service at the designated churches determined by the state chapters on Sunday May 2.  According to the press statement issued by the organisation: “Today, being the 28th of April, is the 70th anniversary of that epic event. We are most indebted for the enduring legacy bestowed upon the progressive political strand in the South-West by the efforts of the founding fathers and all the other leaders in attendance at Owo, on April 28, 1951. One killed, many injured, vehicles burnt, shops burgled

*As transport union, Okada riders clash in Lagos PANDEMONIUM broke out at Iyana-Iba Bus/stop along Mile-Two/Badagry Expressway in Lagos, yesterday following a violent clash between members of the transport union and commercial motorcyclists, over an increase in toll collection. A yet-to-be-identified person was reportedly killed while scores of others were injured during the fracas that put commercial activities in the ever-busy area at a standstill for some hours. Some commercial buses were also burnt while shops were looted by hoodlums who hijacked the situation. It was gathered that trouble started following a hike in the daily toll collected by members of the union. The commercial motorcyclists, as gathered, were informed of plans to increase the daily toll last week but they were said to have kicked against the idea, on the ground that the road was bad and that business was not as it used to be. Photo: Lindakeji *I was promised N500,000 to drive her car — Suspect Some suspected killers of a 58-year-old woman, who was allegedly murdered by four suspects with the assistance of her house-help in Calabar, were yesterday paraded alongside 28 others suspected criminals by the Cross River State Police Command. It was gathered that before the victim, Mrs Doris Andy Inyang, was killed,  she was raped by the teenage gang at her residence in State Housing Estate, Calabar. The gang members also reportedly carted away household items and a 2016 Sentra Nissan car after the crime. But speaking with pressmen during the parade, the suspects, 18-year-old Godwin Nyenime and 19-year-old Eteng Omini denied killing their victim, adding that they only went for her car without any knowledge of her death.
