...as herders storm Apa LG again An officer, one soldier and 15 others have been killed by suspected armed Fulani herdsmen in a renewed attack on communities in Edikwu 2 Council Ward of Apa Local Government Area of Benue State. It was gathered that communities under siege of the marauders include Odogbo and Opaha, the home of the lawmaker representing Apa State Constituency in the state House of Assembly, Mr. Abu Umoro, and the state Commissioner of Finance, Mr. David Olofu. The attack is coming on the heels of weekend's attack on Ankpali community in the same Edikwu Ward 2, where the Ward Chairman of the Labour Party, Mr. Nathaniel Ochoche and three others were murdered in an ambush by the herders. There was pandemonium at the Apogbon area of Lagos State, as a soldier and a policeman engaged in a free-for-all over violation of traffic rules. It was gathered that some soldiers, who drove against traffic were stopped by a team of  policemen attached to the Lagos State Environment and Special Offences Enforcement Unit, Task Force. A verbal confrontation degenerated into a fisticuff, as one of the soldiers described the policemen's action as an affront. A video that went viral on social media showed the armed policeman and the unarmed soldier engaging in a fight. Eye witnesses said the soldier attempted to disarm the policeman apparently to avoid an accidental discharge, but the policeman restricted the attempt as he guarded his arm as the fight went on.
