3 arrested for robbing, rapping students
Three people have been arrested in connection with the the robbery and rape of some students of Gateway ICT Polytechnic, Saapade; living at Ode Remo and Ipara in Remo North Local Government Area of the state. Those arrested, according to a statement by the Ogun State Police command Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, are Taiwo Oredoyin, Taiwo Kuti and Folorunsho Saheed. They were reportedly arrested on November 27, during stop-and-search by the police in Ode and Ipara Remo communities The statement said: “The Ogun State Police Command has made a significant progress in apprehending suspected armed robbers and recovering firearm and ammunition from three armed men, that have invaded Ode Remo and Ipara, raping female students and continued terrorising the tertiary institution within that area. “The suspects at first denied, but a victim of their last robbery operation identified one out of the three-man gang of young men, terorrising Gateway Polytechnic . “Following a s...
