Rotary Club donates items to pregnant women, babies
The Rotary Club of Ikoyi Metro, Lagos, has donated a giant size canopy to pregnant women awaiting consultation as well as delivery kits and babies care items at the Oluremi Tinubu Health Centre, Obalende, Ikoyi-Obalende Local Council Development Area of Lagos. At the presentation, the President of the club, Kemi Folorunso, said the donation was to provide shelter for women and babies against the vagaries of weather during antenatal and immunisation days at the health centre. Folorunso further said: “The gesture was our way of touching the lives of infants and pregnant women. It is no longer news that Rotary mend the bridges and fill the gaps for humanity by positively touching lives.” He was assisted by the Project Director, Emeka Onohwakpor, and others, including Akeodo Jacob, Dr. Mike Ileka, Funmi Imoseni and Emeka Nwosu among other prominent members. He added: “The presentation was an opportunity to assist humanity in the world at large.”
