Mechanic stabs brother to death over N1,500 in Lagos
Policemen attached to Denton Division, Lagos State Police Command, are currently investigating a 21-year-old mechanic, Monday Nnmie, for stabbing his elder brother to death over N1,500 in Ebute Meta area of Lagos. The incident happened at their mechanic workshop on Sam Freeman Street, Ebute Meta, Lagos Vanguard learned that on September 6, 2022, about 7p.m., Monday Nnmie used a broken bottle to stab his brother, John Okoh on his neck during a scuffle between the duo. An eye witness, who spoke on the condition of anonymity said: “The two brothers were fighting over N1,500 given to John Okoh by a customer. During the fight, Monday Nnmie grabbed a broken bottle and stabbed the victim in his neck. Unfortunately, he bled to death on the way to the hospital.” The victim, John Okoh, who was immediately rushed to Federal Medical Centre in Ebute Meta, was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.
