Bandits attack village, burn police armoured vehicle
Rampaging bandits have attacked a village in Birnin-Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, where they set on fire an armoured vehicle allegedly belonging to a security agency. Journalists were told by a community leader in Kimbi village of Randagi Ward in Birnin Gwari council of Kaduna State, Yahaya Kimbi, that the bandits invaded his community, yesterday, and attacked the “immovable armoured vehicle belonging to the Mobile Police.” Kimbi said the incident occurred when about eight bandits holding AK-47 rifles stormed Kimbi Village. He said: “The attack happened on Monday around 1 am and in the process, the bandits burnt the vehicle. “However, the bandits did not kill or kidnap anyone during the attack. I think their target was to destroy the armoured vehicle. Many have fled the village due to fear. “Security agencies came to take stock of the damage caused by the attack.
