Lagos Assembly lawmaker, Omititi slumps, dies
A lawmaker representing Mushin Constituency II at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Sobur Olayiwola Olawale, popularly known as Omititi, yesterday, slumped and died in Jos, Plateau State, after the campaign rally of the All Progressives Congress, APC. The 60-year-old Omititi was confirmed dead by one of the party members, who was on ground with him in Jos. A source in his constituency, who also confirmed that the lawmaker died during the APC campaign in Jos, stated that he was with other party members, including the local government chairman when the incident occurred. Until his death, Omititi was the chairman of the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government Service. As of press time, efforts were ongoing to either take his corpse to Abeokuta, Ogun State, or Lagos State, depending on his family’s arrangement.
