Cultists kill 3 persons, abduct 3

Suspected cultists reportedly killed three people and abducted three others in Egbe community in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State. A source in the community said the corpses of the three persons were found along the Egbeh and Ebiriba Road, adding that the cultists killed and abandoned their remains. The source said two of the persons killed reportedly had issues with the mother of the dreaded leader of the cultists in the area, called ‘Danger’. The source alleged that the cult leader sent his men to invade the community and kill the said persons for having the guts to challenge his mother. It was, however, gathered that the lady who was abducted alongside the two males was the girlfriend of one of the persons who had issues with the mother of Danger.   It was also gathered that the mother of the notorious cultists had since fled the community after the killings. Kidnappers kill one, abduct 3

Suspected five-man gang of kidnappers, Tuesday evening, killed one person and kidnapped three others, including Mr. Rotimi Oyedepo, immediate younger brother of the Chairman, Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, Akogun Oyedepo. It was gathered that Mr. Rotimi Oyedepo and two others were in the car on the Ijara-Isin/Isanlu Isin Road when the kidnappers, wielding guns, intercepted them. He said while they were ordering them out of the car into the nearby thick bush, one innocent motorcylist, who was riding towards the scene of the incident at the time was instantly shot dead. The source gave the name of the dead person as Adeyemi of Pamo Isin. He advised  the “people in Isin Local Government Area of the state to avoid travelling between Ijara and Isanlu Road.” The source also claimed that another bus conveying passengers from Ekiti State on the same route was intercepted and all the passengers were taken away into the thick bush.
