Obey safety measures in markets, shopping malls — LASG
*Bans street trading Lagos State Government has warned the operators of markets and shopping malls where non-food items are sold, to obey safety measures, and comply with the state guidelines in their operation. The Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs, Dr. Wale Ahmed, reiterated the warning on Lagos State twitter, saying “the markets and stores should be opened from 9 a.m to 3 p.m on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. “While farm produces sellers will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays and they must observe safety measures in the markets. Dr. Ahmed while giving a further breakdown of the measures, said malls and stores will be opened with the proviso to maintain 60% occupancy capacity and adequate physical distancing maintained.
