Some Androids, iphones may not run WhatsApp app soon

 SOME WhatsApp enthusiasts may have cause to worry as their phones may no longer run the Whatsapp app from January, 2021. Some of the affected phones include iPhones and Android smartphones. According to the company, the move is to withdraw its support for old versions of Operating System (OS) from next year, noting that several Android and iOS phones may no longer be able to run the Whatsapp app. Information released by WhatsApp said, the company will only be compatible with phones running the Android 4.0.3 operating system or newer as well as iPhones running on iOS-9 and newer devices. By implication, Whatsapp said all iPhone models up to the iPhone 4 will from January 1, 2021, begin to lose support for the messaging platform. It listed affected mobile phones as:  iPhone-4S, iPhone-5, the iPhone-5S, iPhone-6, and iPhone-6S. WORLD Health Organisation’s Head of Emergencies Programme, Dr Mike Ryan has warned public to becareful over their health as another pandemic deadlier than Coronavirus coming soon.   Ryan who spoke at a press conference, said: “Although the Coronavirus pandemic has been very severe, it was not yet the big one. This is a wake-up call. We are learning now how to do things better in science, logistics, training and governance, how to communicate better. But the planet is fragile. “We live in an increasingly complex global society. These threats will continue. If there is one thing we need to take from this pandemic, with all of the tragedy and loss, is we need to get our act together. Nigeria leaders bad decisions put us in mess — Obasanjo

FORMER President Olusegun Obasanjo, told the present crop of Nigeria leaders to stop blaming God for the country’s woes, but rather blame themselves. He insisted that God did not create Nigeria to be poor, but the bad decisions of Nigerian leaders had left the country in its current bad situation. Obasanjo said this in his 2021 message to Nigerians, at his Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, OOPL, residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
