Coronavirus: Confirmed cases rise to 49,485 in Nigeria
By Grace Faloye On Monday night, August 17, 2020; Nigeria recorded 417 new cases of Coronavirus; bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 49,485. According to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, 352,625 samples were tested so far; while 36,834 Coronavirus patients have been successfully treated and discharged, as active cases now 11,674 and 977 deaths. The 417 new cases are reported from 17 states- Lagos (207), Kaduna (44), Ondo(38), Abia (28), Anambra (21), Plateau (20), Bauchi(13),Oyo(9), Ebonyi (9), Delta (7), Edo (7), Enugu (6), Niger (3), Gombe(2), Ogun(1), FCT(1) and Kano(1).
