I’ll appoint women into govt – Atiku
THE presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has promised to emulate the policy of gender balance in the appointment of women into sensitive cabinet positions while renewing his pledge for an all inclusive government, if elected. Atiku said this during the inauguration of the PDP Women Campaign Council, in Abuja, yesterday. According to him, women have proven themselves as less corrupt and more committed to the democratic process because female voters are known to outnumber their male folk in successive elections. He recalled a trip he undertook to Sweden while in office as Vice President, Atiku said: “When I was vice-president, I travelled to Sweden.
