Tragedy struck in Lagos in separate fatal accidents, when a truck crushed three persons to death. The incident happened after the driver rammed into a commercial tricycle and a stationary Toyota Camry car at the Ayeyoro traffic light before veering into the Ayetoro Market Complex, in Epe area of the State.   The unfortunate accident resulted in the fatalities of yet to be identified tricycle driver and two students from Manpower Technical School, Epe.  According to reports by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, the incident which claimed the lives of three individuals, happened midday, at Ayeyoro, Epe. IT was a black Sunday, as a 24-seater passenger bus crashed into a stationary trailer on Lagos-Badagry expressway, killing 15 passengers, including drivers and motorboy on board, while nine others are currently under intensive medical care. Relatedly, another auto crash in Dutse Baupma, Abuja, has claimed three lives and left four others critically injured, the FCT Police Command, has said.  The Lagos tragic accident, it was gathered, occurred at a point called, Agemowo, near Mowo, on the Lagos-Badagry highway. It was gathered that the accident was as a result of over-speeding, resulting in a brake failure, as the bus rammed into the stationary trailer in the process. Rescue personnel, who rushed to the scene later recovered the bodies from the wreckage with the injured victims. *Abductors demand N5m ransom A Federal Commissioner with the National Population Commission, NPC, in Bayelsa State, Mrs. Gloria Izonfuo, has been reportedly abducted by gunmen. It was gathered that Mrs. Izonfuo, a former Head of Service in Bayelsa State was abducted at the Ogbakiri junction on the East-West Road around 6p.m., on Sunday, while travelling to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, from a trip to Brass in Bayelsa State. She was reportedly whisked away by the gunmen alongside her driver and maid. The abductors are demanding N5 million ransom for their release. The Police Public Relations Officer, Rivers State Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, who confirmed the incident, said the Commissioner of Police has mandated tactical teams to ensure the release of the victims.
