One dead as fire razes Globus supermarket

One of the female staff was said to have been killed in the infeno. Other members of staff reportedly sustained injuries in the resultant stampede. The cause of the fire remains unknown at press time, but eye witnesses said the fire started about 11 a.m. However, residents of the area faulted the delayed arrival of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, attributing it to why the fire was more devastating.
