...at VC Investiture THE Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos, UNILAG, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, yesterday, said her focus in office would be to make the university future ready and, in the process, produce graduates ready to squarely face the challenges the future may present. She stated this during her investiture as the 13th VC of the 60-year-old university and the first female to occupy the office. Ogunsola said: “I thank the Governing Council for ensuring merit in the choice of the Vice Chancellor. Universities are known for standing and upholding merit. In the last 60 years, UNILAG has distinguished itself and has produced over 200,000 graduates. With the upsurge in disruptive technologies, there is a need for us to be future ready and we are focusing on preparing students that are future-ready by running a university that is future-ready as well.
