How son macheted father to death
A 23-year-old man, Saidi Musa Elemosho, has macheted his father, Chief Musa Elemosho, the Elemosho of Share land in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, to death. Saidi, who is being tried before Magistrate Muhammed Dauki for culpable homicide, claimed that his father was raining curses on him for no reason. It was gathered that Saidi got annoyed and attacked the father with a cutlass on the head before escaping to a mountain in Share. Giving evidence in court, the Police prosecutor, Sergeant Abdullah Sanni, informed the court that the matter was not bailable because it was a culpable homicide. He, therefore, urged the court to consider the motion exparte attached to the First Information Report, FIR, and order the defendant to be remanded in the prison. Magistrate Dasuki in his short ruling ordered Saidi’s remand while the matter was adjourned to January 9, 2024 for mention. Culled from Vanguard
