7 family members die in inferno
NO fewer than seven members of the same family reportedly perished in a midnight fire outbreak in Tudun Wada, Nassarawa Local Government area of Kano State. The incident was said to have occurred as a result of an electric spark when power was restored. A resident, Malam Idi Maikatako, said the incident leading to the death of the victims— father, mother and five of their children— happened while they were asleep. Maikatako said the victims were burnt to death while the sixth child is currently hospitalised. “The incident happened as a result of an electric spark when power was restored,” Maikatako alleged.
