Lagos poll: Tribunal orders substituted service of Jandor's petition on Sanwo-Olu, GRV
Lagos State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, sitting in Ikeja, yesterday, granted leave to the Peoples Democratic Party's PDP, governorship candidate for the state, Dr. Olajide Adediran, popularly known as 'Jandor', to serve processes of his election petition on the state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and Labour Party, LP, governorship candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, through substituted means. Adediran and his party, the PDP, through their counsel, Mr. Austin Akpomreta, told the tribunal that he was unable to effect personal service of the petition on Governor Sanwo-Olu, his Deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, and Rhodes-Vivour. The respondents in the petition are Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Sanwo-Olu, Obafemi, Rhodes-Vivour and LP. Adediran through his lawyer, told the tribunal that the respondents were not physically present to receive the court process.
