THE Lagos State Police Command has arrested a man identified as Vincent Upkpai, for allegedly killing his neighbour, Gloria, and her son, following a dispute over cleaning in the Elemoro area of Lagos. It was gathered that the argument between Vincent and Gloria escalated into fatal violence on September 15, 2024, leading to the killing of both the woman and her young son. The Lagos State Police Command confirmed the killings after receiving an emergency report at 10:50p.m., from concerned residents. Providing details on the case, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Benjamin Hundeyin, said: "About 10:50p.m., on September 15, 2024, information was received at the Elemoro Division that one Vincent Upkpai had killed his neighbour, Gloria, and her son during an argument over cleaning duties.   A man, his wife, and son were killed by a mob in Zangon Aya community, Igabi local government area of Kaduna State for allegedly giving information to bandits. The State Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Kaduna State, Samuel Aruwan, yesterday, disclosed that security agencies reported the killings to the state government. According to the report, Abdullahi Mohammed Gobirawa, his wife Binta Abdullahi and his son Hassan Abdullahi were killed when a mob stormed their home Monday afternoon. “The mob action was in response to the trio’s suspected collaboration with bandits, especially concerning recent kidnappings in the area.
