Gas explosion: Buildings, vehicles, food items burnt
Buildings, vehicles, foodstuffs and other valuables have been burnt, as another gas explosion, on Saturday, hit Sabon Wuse in Tafa Local Government Area of Niger State. However, no life was lost because the explosion took place late at night. It was reported residents on hearing the explosion, ran out of their houses for safety. Thick smoke from the explosion enveloped the entire area and its environs causing panic confusion. It was gathered that some residential houses, shops and vehicles were completely razed. Director General, Niger State Emergency Management Agency, NSEMA, Abdullahi Arah, who confirmed the explosion, said "At about 11:00 pm yesterday been Saturday 8, February 2025, one Tasiu Gas Plant, beside Kalasma Filling Station, Sabon Wuse along Kaduna express way got exploded and busted into fire.
