Land dispute between two communities claims 7 lives
A land dispute between Gbagyi and Bassa ethnic groups in Kudu village of Toto local government area of Nasarawa State has reportedly claimed about seven lives. It was gathered that the crisis erupted when Bassa ethnic group allegedly invaded a community in Gbagyi settlement to carry out farming activities. Eyewitness said scores sustained injuries, while houses and farm produce worth millions of naira were destroyed following the clash between the two communities Meanwhile, Governor Abdullahi Sule has given assurance that the government was on top of the situation in which normalcy was gradually returning to the warring communities.
