Lagos reopens worship centres: Mosques Aug 7, Churches Aug 9
* Service holds once in a week on designated days *Bars 65 years above attending service By Idowu Ajigboteso Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has announced that mosques and churches could reopen for normal services next Friday August 9 after months of lockdown. Governor Sanwo-Olu made the announcement during his press briefing on coronavirus situation in the state. According to him: "I am happy to announce the progress we are making in our fight against COVID19 and the current decline in the cases. "In view of this, we have taken the decision to reopen places of worship on August 7 for Muslims, and August 9, for Christians with 5 percent of their regular capacity. "This applies to other events, from Annual General Meeting to funerals.
