Rankings: Oxford is world's number one, Covenant best in Nigeria
...as University of Cape Town tops in Africa TIMES Higher Education, THE, has come out with its 2024 rankings of university with Oxford University, England retaining its position as the number one in the world. At the local level, Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, was ranked the best in the country and among the top 1,000 in the world. At the continental level, the University of Cape Town in South Africa was ranked first and 676th in the world. Following CU in the ranking at the national level are the University of Ibadan and the Federal University of Technology, Akure, coming second and third respectively. A total of 1,904 universities across 108 countries were ranked in the exercise.
