Police nab women for trafficking teenagers
Operatives of the Rivers State Police Command have arrested five women for alleged trafficking of teenagers. Detectives of the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, arrested one Mary Samson in connection with the alleged abduction and trafficking of a 15-years girl, Favour Cleopas. According to a statement in Port Harcourt yesterday, the Public Relations Officer of the state Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, disclosed that the act was perpetrated on January 29, 2023. Iringe-Koko said the suspected had flown the victim to Lagos State and was introduced into prostitution. She said: “Detectives from the SCID arrested one Mary Samson in connection with the abduction and trafficking of one Favour Cleopas, 15 years, on January 29, 2023. “The suspect allegedly took the victim to Lagos State on February 5, 2023 for prostitution.
