Land tussle: Property worth millions of Naira destroyed
THE loggerheads over ownership of land on the Lagos-Epe expressway, opposite Alaun Town, via Eleko, Ibeju Lekki, Lagos State, has led to the destruction of property worth millions of naira. One of the parties in the matter, a firm, Redline Properties Limited, RPL, blamed the crisis in the area on the issuance of two Certificates of Occupancies, C of O, on one land, to different parties by the state government. RPL in a petition by the firm to Lagos State Special Task Force on Land Grabbers cried out on alleged collaboration between the state government's officials and land grabbers in an attempt to fraudulently acquire its landed property forcefully.
