Nigeria records 143 new infections, as confirmed cases rise to 54,008

YESTERDAY, Nigeria recorded 143 new cases of Coronavirus; bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 54,008

According to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, 403,347 samples were tested so far; while 41,638 Coronavirus patients have been successfully treated and discharged, as active cases now 11,357 and 1,013 deaths.

The 143 new cases are reported from 18 states- Plateau (35), Kaduna (21), Lagos (19), FCT (13), Ebonyi (9), Adamawa (7), Enugu (7), Katsina (7), Edo (6), Kwara (5), Osun (3), Anambra (2), Kano (2), Niger (2), Ogun (2), Benue (1), Borno (1), Sokoto (1)

Osolo Stool: Royal family picks Aregbeshola

THE Alabe royal family has nominated Prince Saheed Aregbeshola to occupy the vacant stool of Osolo of Isolo. The Alabe family is one of the four families comprising the Alagbeji ruling house and whose turn it is to produce the next Osolo. Aregbeshola’s name will be forwarded to the Alagbeji royal family who will in turn formally present him as the candidate for the family.
