Many feared dead as fuel-laden truck explodes


Many were feared of dead around the Karu bridge area of the nation’s capital, Abuja, following the explosion of fuel-laden truck.

Witnesses said the truck had lost control around the Karu bridge, an area between Kugbo and Nyanya on the Abuja-Keffi Expressway.

They said some cars were trapped in the incident with their occupants unable to escape.

Vanguard gathered that several residents of the area had called at press time, seeking ways of reaching the relevant emergency services.
