Gunmen attack POS operators, kill 2 cops, 2 others

NO fewer than four persons were feared dead, yesterday, when gunmen attacked POS operators at Ohii junction, on the Owerri-Orlu Road in the state.

Two of the victims were said to be policemen on duty.

It was gathered that the gunmen stormed the junction in a Toyota Corolla and opened fire.  They were said to have robbed POS operators at Orji and Egbu areas of Owerri the same day. The incident let to the busy junction being deserted.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Henry Okoye, was yet to respond to enquiry at press time.

Corpses of 6 police officers killed by herdsmen recovered

CORPSES of some of the killed police officers drafted from IRT Abuja, PMF 51 Oghara and Anti-Kidnapping Squad, Asaba in Delta State to rescue three missing officers in Ohoror community, have been recovered by a combined team of security agents and the local vigilantes in Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state.
