How Lawyer abducted in Warri


DELTA State Police  Command  has confirmed the abduction of popular Delta lawyer, Dr. Akpo Mudiaga Odje. 

The lawyer, it was learned was whisked away from his office in Warri on Sunday about 7p.m. 

Spokesman of the command, Bright Edafe, who confirmed the development said, policemen were on the trail of the kidnappers.

This incident occured a day after the abduction of two Catholic priests, Rev Father Chochos Kunav and his colleague of Warri diocese, Rev Father Raphael Ogigba on Agbaro-Oto Road.

Edafe said frantic efforts were on to secure the release of the clergy men.

Oyo school kidnap: We can’t risk more lives in rescue efforts — Soun

Easter: FG declares Friday, Monday public holidays

THE Federal Government has declared Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6, 2026, public holidays to mark this year’s Easter celebration.
