Adebule guarantees effective representation

...Promises to organise Town Hall meetings regularly

THE APC candidate for Lagos West Senatorial District, Dr. Idiat Oluranti Adebule, has pledged to be a good representative in the National Assembly, if elected.

She also pledged to serve with honesty and integrity, as well as organising town hall meetings on a regular basis with all the constituencies in the Lagos West District.

Adebule made the pledge during her town hall meeting with the people of Oshodi-Isolo LGA.

She said: "I am here to declare my political ambition before you as a candidate for Lagos West Senatorial District. I am ready to serve you. I am equally ready to work around the senatorial district to give you quality representation. 

"I will serve you with commitment, passion, integrity, and honesty. I will be listening to your yearnings, and will be organising town hall meetings periodically to know your needs and collect your proposals for presentation at the National Assembly. I will collaborate with other stakeholders in the communities to get their feelings and yearnings."

Meanwhile, the chief host, Oshodi-Isolo LGA Chairman Kehinde Almaroof-Oloyede, his Isolo LCDA counterpart, Otunba Adebayo Olasoju and Ejigbo LCDA Chairman, Monsurudeen Oloyede Bello (Obe), assured Adebule of their support and victory in the election.

Oloyede told Adebule of his frantic efforts to make sure she and other APC candidates win the elections. The council boss said he would deliver his local government for all APC candidates, as he is working assiduously to ensure that his local government emerges first in total votes cast at the end of the polls.

He said: "I, on behalf of the three council chairmen, welcome you to this stakeholders town hall meeting. I want to assure you that we will achieve resounding success at the polls. We are working hard to ensure that every council resident votes for every candidate of our beloved party. We are working to make sure that our local government emerges first at the end of the polls across the country. We will not relent, we will keep canvassing and mobilising our people.

Also speaking at the event, the APC chairman, Oshodi-Isolo LGA chapter, Hon. Saheed Animashaun, re-affirmed the determination of the people of the area and their readiness to ensure victory for the APC at the polls.

He said: "The local government has made frantic efforts and strategic planning to ensure victory for the APC. We are here to sell goods. Adebule was a deputy governor and secretary to the state government, and she excelled at the tasks assigned to her. She will undoubtedly succeed as a member of the National Assembly. She is the best in Lagos West Senatorial District.

"Adebule is a quality representative; she has good education and experience. She is the best candidate for Lagos West. Whatever hindrances and impediments they may put on our way, APC candidates shall become victorious."

Former Lagos APC chairman, Henry Dele Ajomale, prayed for God’s will to be fulfilled in all the candidates' political ambitions and urged members to give unflinching support to all the candidates. He also appealed to all members to take the APC campaign to all corners, so that the party will become victorious in the general elections.

 Eze Nwachukwu, the Eze Ndigbo of Oshodi-Isolo LGA assured the APC that the Ndigbo would fully support the party in Lagos State.

"We shall work on the existing structure and even increase the votes. We are, therefore, for APC in Lagos. All the candidates should be assured that the Igbo in Lagos will vote for  APC candidates. Don't believe rumours that the Igbo are not supporting APC. We are solidly behind the APC and all its candidates", the monarch said.

However, Hon. Ganiyu Abiodun Johnson, member of the House of Representatives representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency 2, stated that the APC still has a lot of work to do for the party to be successful. He appealed to the party faithful to embark on "en-masse" campaign from house to house. "As we are targeting, especially not less than 200-250 votes in each polling booth.

He begged the members to be committed and devoted to the victory of all APC candidates. 

He urged the electorate to come out en masse and vote for APC to enable them to get two commissioners, adding that the votes will qualify them for the commissioner's slot.
