Group mobilises for Sanwo-Olu
A non-governmental organisation, Lets Talk Babajide Sanwo-Olu Listens (Let’s Talk, BOS Listens), weekend mobilised support for Governor SanwoOlu, urging him to focus more on education, health care and youth empowerment if re-elected.
In furtherance of its support for the governor, the BOS Listens group held interactive sessions with youths in the Ikeja and Osborne, Ikoyi areas, in recognition of youths unique part in community development and that their voices must be heard in the forthcoming election.
The group also visited some schools, namely Omole Senior Grammar School,Ojodu, Keke High School, etc where they interacted with students and teachers and distributed learning packs and gifts, urging the students to take the Sanwo-Olu’s re-election message to their parents and guardians.
Also, during the interactive session,the youths stressed their support for Sanwo-Olu’s re-election moves, saying that they were satisfied with the governor’s performance in his first term. The youths’ commended the governor for his track records in the areas of infrastructure, agriculture, health care, education, housing, environmental protection, etc. On their future expectations, the youths called for more recreational programme whereby the local sports leagues are revitalised by involving companies in the sponsorship of BOS or Sanwo -Olu Youth League.”
For Mr. Adejumo Ojo, a Computer Programmer, said that the governor should focus more on education, health care and youth empowerment if re-elected.
Mr Afeez Seriki,a graduate of Mathematics, said: “Governor Sanwo-Olu has improved road, rail and water transportation, boosted agriculture with the recent commissioning of an ultra modern rice mill. In the area of education and health care, but should do more in these areas to improve the quality of lives of Lagosians.
Also, Moses Ayodele, 20 year -old undergraduate, echoed the need for Sanwo-Olu, if re-elected, to “Make local governments more functional in the areas of road rehabilitation, sanitation, as well as curb the growing menace of motor park agents (agberos) to ensure sanity and safety on Lagos roads.”
In the same vein, Miss Anna Ejiofor, a POS operator, urged the governor to intensify the war against drug abuse among youths in the state.
