Sanwo-Olu, Oshodi-Isolo boss relaunch Jigi Bola

WIFE of the Lagos State Governor, Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu and Chairman, Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, on Monday  flagged off Jigi Bola Medical outreach in Oshodi-Isolo secretariat for the benefit of the residents.

At the flag off, the council chairman commended the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his Deputy, Obafemi Hamzat and their wives, for championing the well-being of Lagosians, and make health care accessible to the citizenry, hence, the relaunch of Jigi Bola initiative.


According to Oloyede: “I want to appreciate our amiable Governor and his loyal deputy for relaunching this laudable program initiated by our incoming president, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. They have also included other sectors to make it more robust and beneficial to our people. I implore our people to make the best use of this opportunity provided by Mr Governor, to get treatment for free. In order for this programme and other superb projects of Mr Governor to continue, it behoves on us to massively vote for all the candidates of APC in the coming general elections”.

The Executive Director of BOSKOH HMI, Dr. Nike Osas, mentioned the areas to be covered by the team. It includes Optical examination and  free glasses, sugar level examination, dental care service,  blood pressure, Tuberculosis, breast  cancer check and Counselling for depressed persons. She encouraged residents to afford themselves of these free services.

 Corroborating Osas,  The BOSKOH Director of Planning, Dr. Eriosho urged the residents to give priority to their health. 

The Vice Chairman of the local government who also doubles as the Supervisory Councillor for Health, Hon. Mrs. Modupe Badmus-Aregbe, commended the state governor, his deputy their wives as well as the executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo LGA, Otunba Kehinde Oloyede, for their relentless efforts towards ensuring that Oshodi-Isolo residents have access to free medical services at their door steps.

Easter: FG declares Friday, Monday public holidays

THE Federal Government has declared Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6, 2026, public holidays to mark this year’s Easter celebration. The Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government through  a statement by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Dr Magdalene Ajani.  The minister, who congratulated all Christians in Nigeria and in the diaspora on the joyous occasion of Easter, urged Nigerians to imbibe the virtues of selflessness, forgiveness, forbearance and love as exemplified by the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.  He reiterated that the goal of the government remained taking decisions that would bring about national rebirth, economic growth and shared prosperity.
