CHIEF Executive Officer of Happy World Meal Gate, Suleimon Lento has lamented how hunger and poverty ravaging Africa, have increased crimes and criminality in the continent.

Lento, who said that the Happy World Meal gate was established to eradicate poverty and feed Africans; stated this during a seminar for old and new members of the outreach food company, at its head office, Ikeja, recently.

He urged the staff of the company to reach out to many people to fulfil the company’s purpose of eliminating hunger and malnutrition in Africa.

Lento explained that hunger and malnutrition are widespread in Africa,  faster than ailments. He said that the genesis of crime and criminal activities in Nigeria is poverty.

He said: “A successful person will like to secure his integrity, business and life. Many Nigerians and Africans have lost their lives in the process of looking for greener pastures abroad, especially through shipwreck, killings and abduction on their way through deserts of Morocco, Libya and Red-Sea to Spain and other European countries. If one can do a legal and legitimate business in Nigeria, by using one’s creativity and initiative, one will succeed, because we have greener pastures here in Nigeria.

“In Meal Gate, you will have food in the kitchen, money in the bank and pocket. When you register with Meal Gate, the registration is once for life.

Speaking on the achievements of the company, Lento said: “Happy World is a multinational company that has been successfully feeding people. Despite the lockdown and coronavirus ravaging last year, we keep on distributing food to many people in over 15 African countries.

“Meal Gate has changed the negative perspective of other African countries against Nigeria. We expect other Nigerians to do the same.

“Many dedicated and committed members of the food company have been appreciated for their tremendous contributions to the progress of the company. They have received brand new cars, some have gone on trips to Mecca, Dubai and other places. We always appreciate their contributions to make them contribute more to the progress of the company.”
