ENGLAND team defeated Germany team 2-0 at round-16 of the ongoing Euro 2020 competition.
The England team avenged decades of hurt at the hands of Germany when they defeated their old rivals in a blockbuster Euro 2020 last-16 clash on Tuesday after the tournament was rocked by Portugal and France's stunning exit. Gareth Southgate's side hosts Germany at Wembley in what is England's biggest match on home turf for 25 years.
After the two teams played for 74 minutes of the match without goal, Raheem Sterling broke the deadlock at 75 minutes of the game. His goal gave England edge to continue pushing the ball to the territory of the Germany.
A fine England team goal as Sterling, Kane, Grealish and Shaw combines well, with Grealish finally sending a fine cross to Sterling who taps into the corner of the net from close range.
At 81 minutes, what would have been an equalizer for Germany, was wasted by Mueller, who missed the target from a close range. He just has to beat an advancing 'keeper Pickford of England.
Germany paid dearly for it, when the England skipper, Harry Kane nods home from a close range. The substitute, Grealish sends in a fine cross, which Kane slots in with a diving header for his first goal of this tournament and second goal of the match at 86 minutes of the game,
