National Population Commission commences Enumeration Area Demarcation in Oshodi-lsolo, Amuwo-Odofin LGAs

The National Population Commission has commenced Enumeration Area Demarcation (EAD) in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government which comprises of Oshodi, Isolo LCDA, Ejigbo LCDA, and Amuwo Odofin Local Government which include Oriade LCDA
According to Barrister Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin who spoke at the commencement of the event at the legislative hall in Oshodi-Isolo local government secretariat, she said the exercise is to pave way for the coming national census and implored the host local governments and LCDAs to provide an enabling environment such as accommodation, security, gingles for sensitization, and adequate welfare to support the workers for the success of the exercise.
Earlier, SLG of Isolo LCDA, Hon.Emmanuel Kolawole, who represented the council chairman, Hon. Shamusedeen Olaleye pledged the LCDA's support for the smooth execution of the exercise.
In the same vein, Hon. Taoheed Abiola Oladipupo, Secretary to Oshodi-Isolo local government who represented the chairman Hon. Idris Bolaji Muse Ariyoh explained that as a former enumerator he understands the challenges ahead for the enumerator and promised to present them to the chairman for immediate solutions and assured the enumerator of the local government support for a hitch-free Enumeration Area Demarcation exercise.
Ariyoh assured the enumerator team of their safety and support during their visit to his office.
He urged the residents to cooperate with the officials that will be dressed in the National Population Commission regalia during the exercise within the community for the demarcation exercise.
He said: Give them access to buildings and housing units to number them for the demarcation exercise
"Provide adequate security for the demarcations and their equipment during the exercise.
"Respond truthfully to inquiries from them.
"Do not interfere in the exercise and allow them to execute their assignment professionally.
"It is the division of our community into small areas that can be conveniently covered by a pair of enumerators during the census period.
"Please kindly give maximum support to the enumerators when you meet them in your community".
