How JSS 3 student gang-raped in Lagos

Despite outcry against the spate of raping and killing of women, including minors, yet the rapists are still making wave.

As another Junior Secondary School 3 student has been ganged-raped in Egan, Igando area of Lagos, over the weekend.

This occurred barely one week after 11-year-old girl, who was sent on an errand was gang-raped to death in Ejigbo area of Lagos, with her assailants still on the run.

A source from Oremeji Street, off Isuti Road, Egan, has explained how the JSS-3 student was to lured to an hotel and ganged-raped on weekend.

According to the source: "The girl was lured from her parents' house at Oremeji Street, by one of the suspects, to The Cool Tervan Hotel, three buildings away from her house, where one of the rapists,  Toheeb, popularly known as Sir Small and his fleeing partner, took turns to have sex with her until she started bleeding. 

"However, while taking her back to her parents’ house, some curious residents who saw the girl bleeding, concluded the strangers could have used her for money rituals, thereby raising  alarm which alerted residents.

"Toheeb was apprehended by residents while his partner managed to escape. He was on the verge of being lynched before he was rescued by policemen him."

Another source said that the suspects has been engaging in such act. The source further stated that the fleeing suspect called Sunkanmi alias G33, had booked the room since last Monday, waiting for the convenient time to carry out the sinister motive.

“When the suspect was apprehended, he said he was an auto mechanic and that he knew the girl at Russel Grammar School, in 2018 , where he graduated from. He said he collected the victim’s phone number from her class mate and had been charting with her on facebook. He added that  having sex with her, was not for ritual purpose“.

Easter: FG declares Friday, Monday public holidays

THE Federal Government has declared Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6, 2026, public holidays to mark this year’s Easter celebration.
