COVID-19: Lagos cancels practical assessment exam for JSS3 students

LAGOS State Government has canceled the practical assessment examination for candidates ahead of the conduct of 2020 Basic Education Certificate Examinations, BECE, for Junior Secondary School Students ,JSS 3.

The exam is scheduled to hold from Tuesday, October 6 to Monday October 12 at designated centres from 9.00 am daily.

In a statement by the Director, Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr Supo Gbadegesin on Wednesday, the board explained that the assessment examination has been cancelled due to Covid-19 pandemic in order not to allow candidates spend long hours at examination centres.

It would be recalled that the board last week announced a new dates for the conduct of 2020 screening test into Lagos State Model Colleges and upgraded Junior Secondary Schools in the state.

While the board set from September 26 to 30 for the conduct of the Computer-Based Testing version of the screening at the Lagos State Examinations Board,

October 3 was slated for the paper pencil testing, PPT, version of the examination in all the six education districts.
