Remember the end, says Adeyinka

...at the burial of MC Roseline Oladunjoye

By Matthew Ajigboteso

The General Superintendent, Lagos Area A of Celestial Church of Christ, Venerable Superior Evangelist S.K. Adeyinka, has warned all Christians to live a conscious life because of the end; adding that people should be careful in all their daily activities and remember that the end will come to everything they do.
He said this at the burial of Mother Celestial Roseline Oluwafunmilayo Oladunjoye, Patroness, Celestial Church of Christ, Mafoluku-2.
According to Adeyinka: “The end of a man in life is the beginning of another chapter. The new chapter, which is the second journey, would be determined by the first journey; where the person would be, either in heaven or not....”
He warned Christians not to be anxious about the glittering things of the world, as those things are vanity. He added that whatever we acquire in this life is temporary, and it would pass away.
He said: “All Christians should cling to Christ, the epitome of man, and be upright in their doings so that they will not miss the everlasting joy of heaven.
“When you are passing through stages of life, be careful so that you will not derail because of the flashy things of life, so that your call may not be in vain.”
He compared man’s journey on the planet to the growing of a little child, saying: “As a child is growing, it will start losing its originality to the world, because of the anxiety of life. This is how many Christians derail when they try to know more than their creator. If care is not taken, they will miss the eternal kingdom.”
Adeyinka warned Christians not to seek power or money wrongfully so that they will not end their journey like Saul in the Bible.
He said: “Whatever God did not release to a man, if acquired by force will hurt him at the end. Be careful of earthly things and satanic antics that could make you derail from the journey to eternity.
“Satan will always flash good things of the world to you, those things will lead to destruction. Do not let them snatch from you Holy Spirit, worship and good attitude”.
He said that the good work of Mama Roseline Oladunjoye will follow her wherever her soul goes, as members of church, family and community have testified to her good works when she was with them. It shows that she will find rest on the bossom of Abraham.
He urged Mama’s children to be steadfast, and stay in the legacy their parents left behind and continue in their good works. He added that they should make Holy Spirit and good behaviour their guardians.
The Shepherd in charge of CCC Mafoluku-2, Superior Evangelist Samuel Eyelade, popularly called Danjuma, thanked all the officiating ministers, church members, and community members for their support during the burial and announced that remembrance service (Amissa) would be held for the parish patroness on August 8, 2020; at CCC Mafoluku-2.
Other Celestial chieftains at the burial are A/V/Sup/Evang Ajayi Omonehin, Sup Evang. Sesan Adedeji, Provincial Head of the area; Senior Evangelist Samuel Aribo, Sup-Evang. Eluyode, A/S/Evang Femi Akintunde, Sup/Evang. Kola Abolaji, Evangelist Paul Dosumu, Women of Faith, Women Council representatives, M/C Hellen Dosumu, M/C Adewunmi Ogunnaike-Legunshi, etc.

MC Roseline Oladunjoye died on Thursday, June 18. Service of songs was held for her on Thurday, June 25, followed by burial service on June 26, before her internment at her residence in Arewa Street, Mafoluku.
Roseline was born to the family of Ewuoso in Moloney Street, Lagos. She attended St. Martyr’s Catholic School, for her elementary education, and Bishop Aggey Secondary School, Mushin, for her secondary education.
She worked briefly before she married late Senior Evangelist Samuel Ishola Oladunjoye, the founder of CCC Mafoluku-2 Parish.
She was ordained patroness of the church on Sunday, December 15, 2019.
She was a strong and active member of All Progressives Congress, Ogunoloko Ward in Oshodi-Isolo Constituency 1. She is survived by children and siblings.
