Oluomo rehabilitates Boladale, Iretiolu, Suwebatu streets

Chairman, Nigerian Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya (popularly called MC-Oluomo) has rehabilitated Boladale, Iretioluwa and Suwebatu streets in Oshodi.

Oluomo, who promised to impact not only in the lives of the people but also in the infrastructure, pledged to always give back to the community that made him important in life. 
He also promised to do more based on his capacity both to individuals and infrastructural, saying that as long as God continues to bless him, he will continue to care for others.

He said that government alone cannot cater for the massive infrastructural deficit, he enjoined other well-meaning people to contribute their quota towards the infrastructural development of Oshodi town.
He said: “A drop of water makes an ocean. If individuals in their respective localities could fill in the little infrastructural needed in their areas, Oshodi, Lagos, and indeed Nigeria will be a better place to live."
The people of the area commended him for the rehabilitation of the streets. They were, however, grateful to him for not neglecting them.

Oyo school kidnap: We can’t risk more lives in rescue efforts — Soun

Easter: FG declares Friday, Monday public holidays

THE Federal Government has declared Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6, 2026, public holidays to mark this year’s Easter celebration. The Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government through  a statement by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Dr Magdalene Ajani.  The minister, who congratulated all Christians in Nigeria and in the diaspora on the joyous occasion of Easter, urged Nigerians to imbibe the virtues of selflessness, forgiveness, forbearance and love as exemplified by the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.  He reiterated that the goal of the government remained taking decisions that would bring about national rebirth, economic growth and shared prosperity.
