Lagos Health Service Commission commences recruitment

LAGOS State Health Service Commission has announced the commencement of recruitment exercise for medical professionals into General Hospitals across the state with the opening of a recruitment portal: Jobs.lagosstate.gov.ng for interested applicants on Wednesday, 15th July, 2020

According to a release issued by the Commission, the decision to fill the vacant positions in the 27 General Hospitals across the state followed the approval granted by Governor  Babajidesanwoolu to increase the staff strength of medical personnel in the hospitals.

The Commission stated that some of the vacant positions for employment opportunities include Medical Consultants, Medical and Dental Officers, Pharmacists, Nursing Officers, Pharmacy Technicians, Dental Therapists and Dental Technicians.

The commission noted that the recruitment portal: Jobs.lagosstate.gov.ng will only be accessible for three weeks from 12 noon on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, to 12 noon on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, the Commission emphasised that it would not entertain submission of forms in its office.

While, submission of forms in its office by applicants would not be entertained as part of measures to mitigate the spread of the deadly Coronavirus currently ravaging the world.

Easter: FG declares Friday, Monday public holidays

THE Federal Government has declared Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6, 2026, public holidays to mark this year’s Easter celebration. The Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government through  a statement by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Dr Magdalene Ajani.  The minister, who congratulated all Christians in Nigeria and in the diaspora on the joyous occasion of Easter, urged Nigerians to imbibe the virtues of selflessness, forgiveness, forbearance and love as exemplified by the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.  He reiterated that the goal of the government remained taking decisions that would bring about national rebirth, economic growth and shared prosperity.
