Lagos College of Nursing commences online exams

Lagos State College of Nursing, Midwifery and Public Health, Igando has commenced its first online examination for the 100 level students of the Department of Nursing.

In a statement issued by the Provost of the College, Mrs. Oyefunso Orenuga, the online examination was adopted in view of the ravaging COVID-19 pandemic and the need to curb the spread of the disease in line with the State Government directives.

She noted that the examinations will be held consecutively for students on 100 to 300 Levels with one-week interval

Orenuga commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the trust reposed in the College to conduct the virtual examination as well as the efforts of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Mr. TokunboWahab  to ensure it was actualised.

Oyo school kidnap: We can’t risk more lives in rescue efforts — Soun

Easter: FG declares Friday, Monday public holidays

THE Federal Government has declared Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6, 2026, public holidays to mark this year’s Easter celebration. The Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government through  a statement by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Dr Magdalene Ajani.  The minister, who congratulated all Christians in Nigeria and in the diaspora on the joyous occasion of Easter, urged Nigerians to imbibe the virtues of selflessness, forgiveness, forbearance and love as exemplified by the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.  He reiterated that the goal of the government remained taking decisions that would bring about national rebirth, economic growth and shared prosperity.
