Coronavirus Update in Nigeria

•Lagos records 180 new infections, as confirmed cases rise to 41,180

NIGERIA yesterday recorded 648 new cases of Coronavirus and 2 deaths, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 41,180
According to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, 266,323 samples were tested so far; while, 203 Coronavirus patients have been successfully treated and discharged, as active cases  22,117; 860 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The 648 new cases are reported from 21 states- Lagos (180), Plateau (148), FCT (44), Ondo (42), Kwara (38), Rivers (32), Oyo (29), Kaduna (21), Osun (20), Edo (17), Ogun (17), Ekiti (11), Kano (9), Benue (9), Delta (9), Abia (9), Niger (7), Gombe (3), Borno (1), Bauchi (1), Imo (1).

Corpses of 6 police officers killed by herdsmen recovered

CORPSES of some of the killed police officers drafted from IRT Abuja, PMF 51 Oghara and Anti-Kidnapping Squad, Asaba in Delta State to rescue three missing officers in Ohoror community, have been recovered by a combined team of security agents and the local vigilantes in Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state. Impeccable source said the combined team stormed the forest on Sunday and Monday before they could recover some of the corpses.
