Wife of the Chairman, Oshodi-Isolo LGA, Mrs. Sarah Ariyoh has charged women to be focused, more active, and not to be used as tools during an election. She gave the advice during the visit of the women’s delegates from the seven wards of Constituency 1 to her office to discuss challenges facing women in grassroots.
According to her, “During the electioneering campaign, women are massively at the forefront, but little is heard from them after the election. Although, I understand the challenges most women are facing at home. Yet, they need to be more active in their areas. If you belong to the excos of associations and political parties in your areas, men would not be able to relegate you backward.”
Sarah Ariyoh assured the women of the local government’s support.

Special Adviser on Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation in Oshodi-Isolo LGA, Mrs. Modupe Ogundeyi has called on government and society to keep supporting women with special care for their needs because of the great roles they play in the society.
According to her, “Prominent roles and responsibilities are shouldered on the women through which society gains its stability.
“Our country and community should put laws in place to take special care of women because we play prominent roles in political circles and sustainability of our household. We are very industrious and any financial assistance would boost our morale”.
