Ariyoh Commissions Classrooms in Bashiru Dania Pry School

Chairman, Oshodi-Isolo LGA, Hon Idris Bolaji Ariyoh has charged residents of the area on maintenance of government's property, to enable the infrastructure useful for them.

Ariyoh gave the advice during the commissioning of a renovated six classrooms block at Bashiru Dania Primary School, Ajibulu Street, Mafoluku. The renovated classrooms were equipped with a new teaching facility to make learning conducive for pupils.
Other projects commissioned are renovated council area office at Ajibulu Health Centre, Oluwani, Odalume and Ajisegiri roads, as well as a generator to power street light at Odalume street, Sogunle.

The Council Chairman during his address at the event pledged his undying commitment in making education work in the area.
According to him: “Education remains the pillar of every ideal society and for this to be realized, priority must be given to the sector.

“Since the beginning of this administration, we have been working assiduously by creating a modern, effective and efficient governance with education as a cardinal focus.
This has been responsible for the progress realized so far in the area of education. Ranging from renovation of Afariogun Primary School, with the construction of new set of toilet, new administrative block and erection of borehole, coupled with annual free UTME and GCE forms given to students.
However, he promised not to relent in his efforts in providing more dividends of democracy to the people of the area.

Turn Bashiru Dania school to model school
The headteacher of the school, Mrs Omolola Kushimo in her remarks acknowledged the efforts and giant strides of Bolaji Ariyoh’s administration in transforming education in Oshodi-Isolo LGA, which is commendable, inspiring and hope for better public education.

According to her: “The chairman has made me proud, that during my tenure as head teacher, the school was blessed with 21st century learning equipment. I thank you for this gesture, and want more for this school. We want you to help us renovate other buildings in the school premises that have become dilapidated, and turn the entire school to a new model school “.
Mrs Titilola Aderemi HOS on Social Mobilisation, Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Education Authority appreciated the Chairman and his cabinet for investing in the lives of the pupils with modern learning facilities and good environment. She appealed to Ariyoh never to relent on his efforts and extend such renovation to other public schools which are begging for government attention. She also appealed to other political office holders to focus on education to jointly take education in Oshodi-Isolo to the next level.

In what looks like a bumper harvest of commissioning, the Chairman’s train stopped over at the council area office in Ajibulu Health Centre where the chairman and his entourage were welcome with songs and drums.

The new edifice in Ajibulu Area Office was renovated with the new interior decoration for a conducive working environment.

Mr. Olusola Kusimo, the area officer appreciated the Council chairman for his incessant premium placed on staff welfare which necessitated changing the face of the area office, landscape and equipping the office. He said further that efforts of the chairman is a buster and calls for more service delivery from the staff towards achieving a better local council. In the same vein, the 1.5km road which consists Ajisegeri, Toluwani and Odalume streets were commissioned with street lighting standby generator to power the street lights.

With these renovation, the roads would serve as an alternative route to motorists from Agege Motor Road, and also act as a link to other streets of the local government to reduce traffic gridlock and improve economic activities of the people.

The drainage on both sides of all the roads is expected to prevent the usual environmental water overflows which was a usual occurrence in the community during rainy season.
The P.RO Ladipo CDA, Mr. Abayomi Olowu on behalf of the community showered encomium on the council boss for his unrelenting efforts.

Olowu said that Ariyoh has written his name in gold in the annal of grassroots governance. In appreciation for his exemplary leadership in fulfilling the yearnings and agitation of the people at the grassroots, the CDA bestowed an award of excellence in leadership on Ariyoh and assured him their support always.

The council boss urged residents, motorists and other road users to make proper use of those roads and cultivate the culture of good maintenance through which the roads can serve them for a long period.
