Lockdown: 50 Youths arrested for attending birthday party in Agege

Lagos State COVID-19 Taskforce, on Wednesday, arrested more than 50 youths for violating lockdown directives in the state.

According to a twitter post by the the Lagos State Government, "the Lagos State COVID-19 Taskforce, on Wednesday, arrested more than 50 youths who had attended a party at 84, Parks and Gardens, Idi-Oparun Bus Stop, opposite Abattoir at Abule Egba, Lagos in violation of the lockdown directives of the Federal and State governments

"The suspects who were between the ages of 16 and 45, were arrested for holding a birthday party and consuming some substances suspected to be hard drugs.

"Some of the youths were found in the swimming pool catching fun, in total neglect of the social distancing regulations and the lockdown order."

Corpses of 6 police officers killed by herdsmen recovered

CORPSES of some of the killed police officers drafted from IRT Abuja, PMF 51 Oghara and Anti-Kidnapping Squad, Asaba in Delta State to rescue three missing officers in Ohoror community, have been recovered by a combined team of security agents and the local vigilantes in Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state.
