Shun bad friends, Mejindade warns Krystal-Bal students
Supervisor for Education in Oshodi-Isolo LGA, Hon. Ganiu Mejindade has warned students to shun bad friends and concentrate on their studies; adding that they should not allow their environment twist their future negatively.
He gave the advice during the visit of Krystal-Bal School’s students to the Education Department of the council as part of the school Cultural Day celebration.
According to Mejindade, “You have a greater role to play to modify your future, your teachers in the school can try their best to impart formal education and discipline in you, but what you do with your life outside the school is very important. You need to shun bad company and believe that you will become great”.
Mejindade who appreciated teachers positive contribution towards building a better society said, “We are all product of teachers and would always appreciate their efforts.”
On reading culture, he said: “We need to develop reading culture rather than allow our children roaming the streets, be free to come to the library for reading”. HOD Education, of the council, Mrs. Fatima Akanbi enjoined the students to always take their studies seriously and shun anti-social vices.
The Vice-Principal of the school, Mr. Kolade thanked the council authority for the warm reception and promised that the school would continue to give qualitative education to the students to build a greater society. Other staff that accompanied the students to the council includes Mrs. Folagbade (HOD Vocational Department and Mrs. Okebukola, HOD Social Science.
