Gov Ambode should help us develop Aiyetoro Community
A community leader in Ayetoro Community at Makoko in Yaba Local Council Development Area, Prince Olatunde Adebawo Ogunmayin, has appealed to Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode to assist in development of the area which has been abandoned for some years.
In an interview with The Harbinger at his residence, Prince Olatunde who always attends to many problems people bring to him without discrimination explained that health facilities have not improved in Aiyetoro, no good drinkable water and no good roads in Ayetoro Community.
According to the former chairman, Aiyetoro Ori-Oke CDA, “if I become the Baale of Aiyetoro, I will bring the state government down to Aiyetoro for community development.
“We have four late Baales in Aiyetoro which was not recognised by Oloto of Iddo and Mainland Chieftaincy. The first Baale was Chief Adeyoriju; second Baale was Adebawo Ogunmayin; third Baale was Simon Adebawo Ogunmayin, while the fourth Baale was Zeblon Agbenoranmi who died in 2015.
“The youths and elders in the community have advised me to come out as the next Baale which I also believe that I am eminently qualified for, but I want to be recognised by Oloto of Iddo and Mainland”, he said. Ogunmayin, who was a former Pepsi-Academy Coach said that some community stakeholders are solidly behind him, such as Pa Rev. Eliphus Eretan; Chief Adeyoriju Levi, Mr. Aseri Ayemobola and a host of others.
