Price of Kerosene reduces to N400 per litre

 THE average price paid by consumers for National Household Kerosene (NHK) fell to N400.01 per litre  this week.       This represents a 7.9 percent decline when compared to N434.39 per litre recorded in September ending of this year.   Similarly, prices paid by consumers per litre of Automotive Gas Oil (diesel)  fell by 0.16 per cent this week to N254.21 from N254.64 as of September  ending 2021.     According to data from  globalpetrolprices.com, as of this week the price per gallon of kerosene stood at N1,514.20 while price per gallon of  Diesel stood at N962.29.   When compared to data from National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) NKH and Diesel watch for September, prices paid per gallon of NKH   fell by 1.73 percent. Don’t allow your NIN linked to another person’s SIM — NCC warns subscribers

THE Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, has warned telecoms consumers not to allow their National Identification Number, NIN, to be linked to another person’s Subscriber Identity Module, SIM cards, no matter how close the person is to them. The commission gave the warning during its third run Telecom Consumer Town Hall on Radio, TCTHR, programme, broadcast live on Human Rights Radio in Abuja. Declare bandits terrorists, El-Rufai tells FG

*343 killed, 830 kidnapped, 210 injured in Kaduna in 3 months Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State, has called on the Federal Government to declare bandits as terrorists to allow the Nigerian military deal with them according to international law. This came as no fewer than 343 persons were killed from  July to September 2021 in Kaduna State, while  830 others were kidnapped. The governor said this at the presentation of the Kaduna State Security Incidents Report for the Third Quarter of 2021 in Kaduna saying, "we in the Kaduna State Government, have always aligned with the declaration of bandits as insurgents and terrorists. Alleged N69bn fraud: EFCC to arraign ex-NSITF boss

THE Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, will today, arraign former chairperson of Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund, NSITF, Mrs Ngozi Olejeme over alleged conspiracy, abuse of office, diversion of public funds and money laundering before a Federal Capital Territory High Court sitting in Jabi. Olejeme, who headed the NSITF from 2009 to 2015, was accused of defrauding the establishment to the tune of about N69billion. She was earlier declared wanted by the anti-graft agency after she breached her administrative bail and escaped from the country. Her action had led to the arrest and detention of her lawyer. EFCC alleged that Olejeme, acting alongside a former Managing Director of the establishment, Mr Umar Abubakar, diverted government funds into their accounts through  awards  of suspicious and bogus contracts to proxy companies. AK-47-wielding herdsmen hack woman to death

  A farmer, identified as Cordelia Utazi, was allegedly hacked to death on her farm at Ugwujoro Nimbo, Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State last Monday. The deceased, popularly known as Oyee Eze, was weeding her farm with her daughter, Onyinye, when suspected herdsmen attacked them, leading to her death. It was gathered that her daughter drew the attention of her late mother to the presence of the herdsmen, but sense they were going to be attacked by the fast-approaching herdsmen, the young girl took to her heels and alerted other villagers.
